Terms
The terms, in plain English
What you are agreeing to by using this site, and the parts of a tuning session worth being explicit about before the car goes on the rollers.
Who these terms are with
This site and the shop behind it are operated by Loose Cannon Crew LLC, trading as Torque Theory, 1425 CR 458, Coupland, TX 78615. Using the site means accepting what follows. If you do not, the site is free to leave.
A booking request is a request
Sending the form on the contact page asks for a slot. It does not book one. A session exists once we have confirmed it with you directly, by phone or by reply. Until then nothing is reserved and nothing is owed.
Prices and quotes
Prices shown on the site are starting figures for the work described, not fixed quotes for your car. What a session actually costs depends on what the car needs, and you get that figure before work begins. Third-party costs, tuning licences and credits among them, are billed as they are charged to us and are not part of the shop rate.
The numbers we publish
Every figure on this site came off our own dyno under the conditions printed on the run sheet. They describe those cars on that day. They are not a prediction about yours, and no session is sold on a promised gain. What you are buying is the measurement and the calibration work, not a number.
Your vehicle
- The vehicle is yours to present in a condition fit to be tested. If it arrives with a mechanical fault, the session stops until the fault is fixed. We do not calibrate around a failure.
- Motorsport and performance work carries risk to the vehicle by its nature. A dyno session runs an engine at full load, which is where existing weaknesses surface. We take the care the work deserves, and you accept that a component at the end of its life may end it here.
- You confirm you own the vehicle or have the owner's permission to have this work done on it.
- Vehicles left after a session are stored at the owner's risk.
Warranty and emissions
Modifying a vehicle or its calibration can affect a manufacturer warranty, and it is your responsibility to know where you stand with yours before the work is authorised. Equipment and calibration work sold for competition use is for vehicles used off public roads. You are responsible for the legal status of your vehicle in the jurisdiction it is driven in, including emissions and inspection requirements.
What we are liable for
We stand behind our workmanship. To the fullest extent Texas law allows, our liability for any claim connected to the work or to this site is limited to the amount you paid for the session it arose from, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost time, lost earnings, towing, or the cost of a vehicle being off the road. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Content on this site
The text, photographs, run sheets and charts here belong to us. Quote us and link to us freely. Republishing a page wholesale, or presenting our dyno data as somebody else's, is not on. Product and manufacturer names belong to their owners and appear here descriptively.
Links out
Where the site links elsewhere, including the map in the footer, that destination has its own terms and we do not control what it does.
Privacy
What the site collects and why is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes and governing law
These terms may change, and the date at the top moves when they do. They are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the courts of that state.
